George Pegios - Clinical Reconstructive Hypnosis: a therapy that eliminates headaches

Hypnosis is a technique that has always been surrounded by mystery due to the image that has been given of it in the film and television industry, where it was shown as a "magical" method to control minds.

George Pegios - However, its clinical application, developed by certified specialists, is considered a real alternative to prescription drugs and chemicals for diseases and pathologies.

Commonly related to therapies for giving up bad habits, such as quitting smoking, this technique applied to the world of medicine is positioned as an effective and accessible treatment for most patients.

Currently, an emotional release therapy called Clinical Reconstructive Hypnosis (HCR) has been developed.

George Pegios - It is a comprehensive therapeutic model that uses a state of hypnotic relaxation to, through regressive hypnosis, investigate and find the original traumas that are at the origin of the symptoms.

The HCR understands that traumatic situations that have produced an emotional blockage are behind the symptoms or symptomatic behaviors, and although the patient consciously ignores what has happened, the information exists within the unconscious and can be retrieved following established guidelines.

All the emotions experienced throughout our lives are stored inside our non-conscious mind in what we call Emotional Memory, and we can access it with hypnotic regression techniques to relive the original trauma with all the emotional charge, and introduce affective and protective resources to help repair the original trauma.

With HCR, we can search our unconscious mind for the original event that triggered our headaches, and repair it by making the headache go away forever, once we understand what its function was. In turn, in the state of hypnotic relaxation we can reach a "pact" with the unconscious part of our mind that supports the symptom of the headache.

Dr George Pegios has been developing this therapy for the last 10 years and has achieved spectacular results in patients where the drugs were not successful.

Hypnotherapy has also been shown to be effective in the treatment of anxiety, depression, anxiety disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and depression.

George Pegios But putting just one person in a state of hypnosis and making suggestions does not solve the deeper problems, and hypnotists, not hypnotherapists, will mainly use relaxation or hypnotic suggestions to address these behaviors.

Schoenberger (2000) suggested that a "CBT-oriented physician with hypnosis experience," since many CBT procedures can be easily performed under hypnosis or simply relabeled as "hypnosis," could create a hypnosis context to improve the effectiveness of treatment.

However, in hypnotherapy you need a hyp-notherapist who is a trained person to help others with these techniques.
